Growing up Mormon in Salt Lake City, Utah, I was the perfect candidate for religious indoctrination…which some might term…mind-control.  Certainly, I was spoon-fed the myths of The Book of Mormon where Lehi, Nephi, Laman and Lemuel were the progenitors of a great yet fallen race referred to as the “Lamanites”—which I later discovered to be a seditious cover-up for the true history of the Native Americans on the North American Continent.  Nonetheless, a few savory Mormon scriptures still flavor my spiritual palate…and so I’ll season this newsletter entitled “The Path of Sovereignty” with a few favorites.  For example, in Doctrine and Covenants 1:19, 20:
The weak things of the world shall come forth and break down the mighty and strong ones, that man should not counsel his fellow man neither trust in the arm of flesh—but that every man might speak in the name of God the Lord, even the Savoir of the world.
And then in the Book of Mormon 21:1, 2, 10-12 (Jesus quoting from Isaiah chapter 11):
And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots. And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek; and his rest shall be glorious. And it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.  And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
It’s still a mystery to me how Jesus Christ was able to quote verbatim the King James version of The Bible throughout his discourses recorded in the Book of Mormon, when according to its professed history, the King James version hadn’t even been written yet (could someone please explain that to me?)  Nevertheless, there are still some poignantly profound Mormon scriptures which point the direction to sovereignty and to the gathering of the “remnant of Israel” or what I’ve personally established as the “Church of the Gathering of What is Real” (no tongue-in-cheek intended J) Nor am I being facetious when I say that after my 28-day stint in the Salt Lake County Jail (for no crime), I had the inspiration (I’m not saying it was divine revelation) that I would now take on the new name of Jesse Christian in lieu of my eminent divorce from my husband, Brad Bird; and also my personal desire to take on the name of Jesus Christ (literally in the effeminate).  With that said…let’s continue down the path of sovereignty.
Sovereignty can mean a lot of things to a lot of people and can be a very misunderstood subject.  As pertaining to state’s rights—it is the ability for each state to act independently from the rest of the states and/or from the entire nation if deemed necessary.  Although this is an interesting concept that deems further investigation…for this particular Holy Vortex Newsletter (yes, I’ve also changed the name of my Heartsong Newsletters)…we’re going to discuss individual sovereignty.  So let’s first define what it means to be “sovereign.”
“Sovereign” as defined in my handy-dandy Word Perfect dictionary is defined (as a noun) as “ruler, monarch, supreme ruler” or (as an adjective) as “independent, autonomous, self-governing, supreme, superior, absolute.”  I suppose if you wanted a perfect example of “sovereign” it would be GOD.  And if we are created in the image and likeness of God, then wouldn’t it stand to reason that we, as individual creations of God, are granted these same sovereign characteristics as descendents of our Divine Creator?  Therefore, it would be reasonable to imply that our own individual sovereignty is a path back to God.  In The Bible we read (emphasis added):
Ye are Gods!
Ye are created in the image and likeness of God!
He, who was the son of God, did not consider it blasphemy to consider himself equal with God!
Also in Jung and the Lost Gospels by Stephan A. Hoeller:
Jesus employs the word monachoi, usually translated as “solitary ones” but also meaning “those who have become unified.”  This is the name whereby one might describe the individuated psyche, the soul of the knower, who having become a unity now can stand alone without the burdensome collectivity of society, as well as without the tyranny of the alienated ego.  Those are the men and women who have succeeded in freeing themselves of the dominion of the tyrant angels, and of them the Gnostic Christ says: “Blessed are the solitary and the elect, for they will discover the kingdom!  Many stand outside the door, but it is only the solitary ones who will enter into the bridal chamber.”
Similarly, another one of my favorite Mormon scriptures (which I quote on the inside cover of my book, Becoming One—the journey towards God) comes from the Doctrine and Covenants 38:27:
Behold, this I have given unto you as a parable, and it is even as I am.  I say unto you, be one; and if ye are not one ye are not mine.
So if being sovereign or “becoming one” is our natural, inherent state of existence, then what exactly happened so that we can no longer claim our God-given sovereign rights and be free agents for ourselves?  This is a history lesson well worth investigating.
On July 4, 1776 when our great Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence and declared our independence from England (who had since given its sovereignty to the Pope) they upheld this concept of “individual sovereignty.”
           The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.
This was a brave act of “civil disobedience” to declare independence from the foreign “tyrant” nation of Great Britain.  But it was a necessary act in order for us, the U.S. or “we the people” to form a more “perfect Union.”  And so shortly after the War for Independence, our Great Forefathers again constructed an inspired document to protect those “certain unalienable rights” granted by our Creator.  In the Preamble of the U.S. Constitution we read:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
And so “We the People” painstakingly created a legal and lawful document which established laws that would protect our inalienable rights.  This was the sole purpose for the Constitution for the United States and each and every law-maker and law-enforcement officer swears an oath to support and sustain the Constitution for the United States.  And yet how many times have you heard stories of people who have been forced to forfeit their unalienable rights of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?”  Since I have been one of those “people” I would like to take you down the road of discovery as to how our system of “protecting the rights of the people” has turned into a system of “robbing the rights of the people.”
Most people in the United States don’t realize that the court system is based on a false premise.  We mistakenly believe that these courts are courts of Common Law with jurisdiction over the common man.  The original intent and purpose of all courts was to elicit justice from the decisions rendered.  There were civil courts and criminal courts created to deal with separate areas of jurisdiction.  Criminal acts as well as civil disputes were tried in common law courts.  Common law established the right to “trial by jury” with the jury acting as final judge of the law of the case as well as exacting punishment.  If the jury decided that the law was unjust they had the right to “Jury Nullification” wherein they could nullify an existing law.  The judge in a common law trial was simply in the courtroom to make sure the proper papers were presented to the jury.  The jury had all of the power in the courtroom and no common law decision could ever be overturned by the judge or by another court.  All other courts were to be inferior to the common law court—including the Supreme Court.
Unfortunately, the court systems began changing in 1926.  With the creation of rules, regulations and codes that were signed by the Congress, the President and the B.A.R. (British Accreditation Regency), creating its own private administrative procedures for corporations.  Thus, the BAR supplanted the judicial system as the BAR (by its obvious association with Great Britain) is concerned with commercial gain from the United States and could be considered treasonous as it has played a huge part in bankrupting the U.S.
Actually the conspiracy to bankrupt the United States started clear back during the Revolutionary War and continued throughout the Civil War and into both World Wars.  ALL WARS ARE INTENDED TO BANKRUPT SOCIETIES AND BRING THEM TO THEIR KNEES AND UNDER THE CONTROL OF THEIR SLAVE-MASTERS.  Note: The Federal and State Governments are bankrupt, NOT THE PEOPLE!  And to remedy this status, the Governors of the several states pledged (loaned) the Lives, Liberty, Future Labor, and all Private Property “of the people” to the bankrupt Federal and State governments as surety for the National Debt they created during the wars.  Thus, as the lender, we the people are the creditors and our bankrupt government is the debtor.  In other words—the government is indebted to us not we to them!  But we must be willing to stand up for our sovereign rights and not be used for their “collateral damage.”
Also the BAR’s use of Greek and Latin terms in law and the habit of changing definitions and usage of common words is intentional.  The intent is to confound and confuse the general public and to hide the treason they are implementing, so that members of the public are forced to hire a lawyer out of frustration rather than try to represent themselves in our “fictional courts of law.”  Ninety-eight percent of the officials in public office are lawyers and these so-called representatives set policy and create the laws that govern this society.  Do you really think anyone is going to get a fair trial when the Judge, Prosecuting and Defense Attorneys who are the “Officers of the Court” are all members of the BAR Association?  Isn’t that called a “Conflict of Interest?”
And then in 1946, the Administrative Procedures Act forever changed the courts of government for the American people.  Roosevelt called it the fourth branch of government.  This act brought all branches of government and municipalities (except for the counties) under administrative codes, rules and regulations.  This in reality established each branch and municipality (which are mere corporations) as an independent nation with each having their own codes, rules and regulations.  All corporations make up their own rules for the purpose of collecting revenue (for their debt). 
In other words…there is NO justice in court anymore because it isn’t Rule of Law, it’s Rule of Corporations!  And these corrupt corporations play by their own rules and those rules can change at any time for any reason.  Therefore no matter how prepared you are to fight your battle in court or how much due diligence you do on your part to defend your unalienable rights, it doesn’t mean a rat’s ass to those who are tyrannical terrorists!  But what other choice do you have?  Give up all of your God-given rights to their corrupt system of injustice?   NO!  It’s never too late to reclaim your unalienable rights to your liberty and freedom.
So what is freedom?  Webster defines it as “the power or right to act, speak or think freely.”  Since this definition is a bit obscure, let’s define what a slave is—Slave: A person who is legal property of another and forced to obey them.  A person who is excessively dependent upon or controlled by something or someone.
So my question is…if you’re controlled or dependent on something or someone else…are you truly free?  Every individual must ask himself this question because the initiation of an authentic revolution always begins within the individual who recognizes that he/she is dependent or being controlled by someone or something else…
True sovereignty is self-governance which means you are 100% responsible and 100% accountable for everything you say or do!  This means getting unencumbered from any person, system or institution which keeps you enslaved.   And just remember…we are the creators of these systems which have enslaved us and the complexity of the system is in direct relationship to the burden “we, the people” have placed upon it.  So if the system has become default and corrupt, it is because the foundation in which the system was built has become faulty and/or corrupt.
Our creations are our servants whether they be governments, corporations, legislations, rules, regulations, etc.  Should the people of today discover the truth that we can say “no” at any time to the creations we have “mis”created, we may find a revolution within the current system to be inevitable.
What would the planet look like if we took back what we consistently give away—our choice?  What if we could choose, in this moment, freedom over slavery; peace over war; abundance over lack; love over hate; life over death…could you even imagine the heaven on earth we could create if we could only take our choices back?  Guess what? We can!
Consider no more the “Problem/Reaction/Solution” system of enslavement; but as sovereign individuals taking responsibility for their present and future choices, let’s consider an “Opportunity/Responsibility/Conscious Creation system of freedom.
The time is now!  The place is here!  The who is you!  Stand up for your sovereign rights even if it means beginning your own peaceful revolution…evolution…solution.  The choice is clear: EVOLUTION OR EXTINCTION!!
