The
Church of the Hot Springs
(The
Church of the Gathering of What is Real)
7/14/7
Many of you who I e-mailed “In
Search of the White Buffalo Calf Woman” have been curious to know how they can
connect more with creating the Rainbow Vortex connecting Heaven with
Earth. Obviously there are many
light-workers on the planet who are involved with this process, but I
personally, as an ordained Minister of The Church of the Gathering of What is
Real or what we loosely call “The Church of the Hot Springs” have been meeting
up at Diamond Fork Hot Springs each Sunday to discuss many aspects of this
process. This “Church” was established several
years ago by a group of naturists who enjoy “getting naked and getting
real.” We enjoy communion with nature
and communion with each other—which translates for most of us as true communion
with God. We consider all things sacred
including the water, the air, the land, and each individual—and we desire to
respect everything and everyone. There
is no administrative structure, although we loosely administer baptism (Watsu
or Waterdance), laying on of hands (we all enjoy massage), the sacrament (many of
us bring beer, wine and snacks) and we talk about whatever comes up
(literally).
I know this may sound a bit
“sac” religious, but I believe if you are truly a Christian then you will
recognize the similarity of Christ’s true church where sermons were
spontaneously taught out in nature (remember the Sermon on the Mount?). I’m a
Gnostic Christian—which literally translated means “to know God for oneself”
and part of that process of knowing is to purify your temple to receive more
light by using the four elements—air, water, earth, and fire—as the ancient
Essenes practiced for centuries.
In Edmond Bordeaux Szekely’s The Essene Gospel of Peace, he mentions the three “angels” which are given
unto man for the cleansing of his temple:
The angels of air and of water and of
sunlight are brethren. They were given
to the Son of Man that they might serve him, and that he might go always from
one to the other.
Holy, likewise, is their embrace. They are indivisible children of the Earthly
Mother, so do not you put asunder those whom earth and heaven have made
one. Let these three brother angels
enfold you every day and let them abide with you through all your fasting.
For I tell you truly, the power of devils,
all sins and uncleannesses shall depart in haste from that body which is
embraced by these three angels. As
thieves flee from a deserted house at the coming of the lord of the house, one
by the door, one by the window, and the third by the roof, each where he is
found, and whither he is able, even so shall flee from your bodies all devils
of evil, all past sins and all uncleannesses and diseases which defiled the
temple of your bodies…
Also, in the Gospel of Thomas which was buried in Nag
Hammadi and thus preserved in its wholeness:
The Kingdom is inside you and outside
you. When you know yourselves, then you
will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living
Father. But if you do not know
yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are poverty.
Jesus said, “Do not tell lies, and do not
do what you hate, because all things are revealed before heaven. For there is nothing hidden that will not be
revealed, and there is nothing covered up that will not be uncovered.”
Jesus saw some babies nursing. He said to his disciples, “These nursing
babies are like those who enter the Kingdom.”
They said to him, “Then shall we enter the
Kingdom as babies?”
Jesus said to them, “When you make the two
into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like
the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the
male will not be male nor the female be female , when you make eyes in place of
an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place
of an image, then you will enter (the Kingdom).”
His disciples said, “When will you appear
to us and when shall we see you?”
Jesus said, “When you strip off your
clothes without being ashamed, and you take your clothes and put them under
your feet like little children and trample them, then (you) will see the son of
the living one and you will not be afraid.”
Jesus said, “There are many standing at the
door, but only those who are solitary will enter the bridal chamber.”
Jesus said, “I am the light that is over
all things. I am all. From me all came forth, and to me all
extends. Split a piece of wood, and I am
there. Lift up the stone, and you will
find me there.”
Jesus said, “Come to me, for my yoke is
easy and my rule is gentle, and you will find rest for yourselves.”
They
said to him, “Tell us who you are so that we may believe in you.”
He said to them, “You search the face of
heaven and earth, but you have not come to know the one who stands before you,
and you do not know how to understand the present moment.”
I hope many of you can relate
to these words—the true words of Jesus.
I would like to continue to share with you some of my own words in
future e-mails as I believe words are the medium for a writer to paint life’s
landscapes. I am a writer, poet and
song-writer and would like to continue to share some of my “life’s landscapes”
with you if you are interested. If you
would like to be removed from my e-mail list, please reply and have yourself
removed. I respect your choice. For those of you who would like to join us at
“The Church of the Hot Springs” on Sundays for “The Gathering of What is Real”
the directions are as follows:
From the lower trailhead: Go to the Spanish Fork Canyon exit heading
towards Price. About 6 miles up the
canyon, you will see a sign that says Diamond Fork. Turn left and follow the Forest Service Road
for 10 miles past the Diamond Fork Campground until you come to a sign that
says “Three Forks Trailhead.” Park in
the parking area to the right. The trail
to the hot springs goes straight up from the rest rooms. (Do not cross the bridge to the right.) Follow the trail for 1 ½ miles (it usually
takes about an hour). Halfway point is a
bridge overlooking the three forks of the stream. Take a moment to take in the beautiful
scenery and the healing negative ions.
Remember to take plenty of water and snacks with you as the hike may be
a bit rigorous for some. Watch for
rattlesnakes along the trail. You will know when you’re near the hot springs
when you smell a slight sulfur smell.
The “non-textiles” meet in the pools above the falls. But enjoy the falls when you come to them as
they are very refreshing after a long, hot hike. Respect those who are “textiles” by wearing a
swimsuit, especially if they are families with children. We try to respect everyone’s boundaries so as
to make this a peaceful, enjoyable experience.
From the upper trailhead: Go to the Spanish Fork Canyon exit heading
towards Price. Continue up the canyon
and past the right turn-off going towards Fairview and Manti. You will come to a turn-off right before a
Sinclair Gas Station that says Sheep Creek.
Turn left on this Forest Service Road which will take to you to Fifth
Waters trailhead which is about 10 miles up the road. There is parking on both sides of the
road. This trail follows a beautiful
bubbling brook and passes several breathtaking waterfalls which make it my
favorite trail. Both trails are about 1
½ miles and takes about an hour depending on how often you rest and take in the
beautiful scenery. Cameras are welcome
except use discretion at the nude pools.
(We don’t what any potential politicians in the group getting
disqualified for a future Presidential campaign.) One advantage of the lower
trailhead over the upper trailhead is that the lower trailhead is down hill on
the way out whereas the upper trailhead is a steep uphill climb on the way
out. Again, it’s according to one’s
personal preference. The upper trail is
less traveled, and I often hike in nude on this one as this is my own
preference as a long-time naturist.
